Biography
Architect & designer from Argentina, Marcelo Joulia studied in France before creating his own agency. «Marcelo Joulia Naço» in the heart of Paris in 1991 with a global vision. Global by its unique approach integrating architecture, interior design, product and graphic design, video, scenography, global by its own way of embracing international cultures and finally global by its ability to meet any challenge with a refreshing view from individual houses, the huge leisure complex, hotels, trendy restaurants, trade shows, boat, plane or furniture design, offices, stores … In the Guarani language, Naço means «intuition», one of the many words that characterize Joulia’s need for freedom. This image enthusiast has become one of the world’s leading experts in cinema. Passionate about good food, Marcelo Joulia created the famous restaurant Unico in Paris and the five-star luxury hotel Imperator, which opened in 2019 in Nîmes, France. Today, 30 years later, Marcelo Joulia Naço has a network of offices in Paris, Shanghai and Buenos Aires and operates in more than 20 countries. There is definitely something unique, fresh and terribly human about Marcelo Joulia Naço.
